Ontem, 20 de setembro de 2015, foi anunciada a que a Dialog Semiconductor comprará a Atmel por um valor de $4,6 bilhões. O processo dever ser finalizado até o final do primeiro trimestre de 2016.
Segundo a Dialog Semiconductor, essa aquisição criará um líder global em soluções de gerenciamento de energia e soluções embarcadas. A combinação das empresas resultará em um rápido crescimento de mercado, chegando a $20 bilhões até 2019.

Atmel:
